Out of print Art Tarot Series for Sale
Between 2006 and 2015 I published a series of 29 Art Tarots, in limited editions of 100, or later of only 50 copies. Most of these sold out relatively quickly and have since then been well sought after, fetching high prices when they come to the market.
I have a few copies of each deck which I held back from sale, for my personal collection, and as I am getting older, I now wish to sell these off through these pages. USA Customers please note - most of these are 22 Majors only decks.

Marie-Claude Purro Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 2, UK. 2006.
Marie-Claude Purro, a self-taught artist, was born in 1962 in Fribourg, Switzerland. From 1993 to 1994, she lived in the small town of Praia de Mira, Portugal where she painted the 22 major arcanes of the Tarot. She says: "I studied and understood each arcane before painting it. This is how I found treasures of symbolisms about everyone's daily life, experiences, unhappiness, happiness, fears, power, spirituality; every day, one or more cards, 'appeared' to me according to what I was about to say or do. Each of those 22 cards corresponds to a different feeling, a highly enriching experience."
22 cards Majors only. Limited edition of 100, signed and numbered. Very rare.

The Alchemical Wedding Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 3, UK. 2006.
The Alchemical Wedding tarot is a very unusual and powerful tarot deck. Its imagery is strong and disturbing. The artist, David Aronson, uses the tarot form to explore images that are both unsettling and at the same time so beautifully crafted that they engage us. Perhaps this is the nature of the alchemical wedding which he is inviting us to join.

The Tarot of the Sidhe
Artwork Tarot No. 5, UK. 2006.
The Tarot of the Sidhe by the British artist Emily Carding was inspired by the sigil of the Great Glyph of the Sidhe. The Sidhe (pronounced 'shee') is the ancient Irish name for the Faery race. The artist has used this glyph, together with her personal attunement to those energies, to aid in the creation of this deck of wonderful flowing colours.
22 cards Majors only. Limited edition of 100, signed and numbered. Very rare. This is the first edition of this popular deck.

The Corneal Edema Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 6, UK. 2006.
The Corneal Edema Tarot was created by the American artist John R. Dybowski. It is a goth deck celebrating this lifestyle. John R. Dybowski has taken a series of posed photographs and graphically modified these to embed them within a textured space. He has produced an extremely accomplished and wonderfully evocative deck that reflects the goth lifestyle in tarot archetypes. The name 'corneal edema' (or oedema) means an inflammation of the corneal part of the eye - the main symptom of which is blurring of vision and sometimes pain on looking at an object. So entirely in empathy with a goth view of the world this Corneal Edema Tarot is supposedly giving us a painful and distorted view. The artwork here is strong, coherent and with a delightful beauty of style.

The Rotin Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 8, UK. 2006.
The Rotin tarot is intriguing and enigmatic. It reduces and focusses the familiar tarot images to minimal forms which retain the archetypal structure, indeed, Peter Rotin's artistic condensation seems to have given the tarot arcana even more powerful expression. An amazing black and white deck by this artist based in Malta.

The Aleph Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 9, France. 1994.
This wonderful painted tarot was created in 1994 by the artist Rossetta Woolf in collaboration with Aleph Kamal. An edition of 250 copies were printed for the Musée Lilim in Carcassonne in France, an association set up to create a living museum of collaborative arts projects, rooted in the spiritual and cultural history of the mediterranean, and dedicated to the myth of Lilith and her children, the lilim. Rossetta Woolf was one of the founding artists of this group and her watercolour paintings were the basis for this tarot. Her artwork though intensely symbolic uses a subtle pallette of soft colours and the underlying drawing is superb. The deck is mentioned in Kaplan IV page 25-26, where it is called the Cathar Tarot. The final few remaining copies were acquired for the Art Tarot series. These are the original 1994 printed copies, which has been boxed up in a strong lidded box. It is quite a treasure, sadly almost completely unknown and certainly deserves recognition as a fine art tarot.

Erotic Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 23, UK, 2010.
This tarot was created by the well respected Austrian artist René Marcel Rivière, originally as a series of large highly detailed pencil drawings. He later produced a series of oil paintings closely following the drawings with the same depth of detail. René Marcel Rivière has had a large number of exhibitions in Austria, the US and Germany. His Erotic Tarot concerns itself with that part of human life, which determines destiny in the most fundamental way: Eros, love. It is in this field that humans, entwined with each other, like the pentagram of golden bodies on the reverse side of the cards, have always felt the greatest need to interrogate oracles. In an intense and sensitive manner, Rivière let his artistry take effect within the realm of mysterious encipherment and this has resulted in a riveting, graphic representations of mental processes, enabling a better grasp of ancient mysticism in our times. His imagery is extremely powerful, surreal and inventive. One can look at one of his images for a considerable period of time and still find one has not noted all the details. For this limited edition the cards are printed as large as was possible in order to do the artwork justice. There are two decks included in the box, the original black and white pencil drawings and the set of coloured images.

The Fialko Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 24, UK, 2012.
Jeff Fialko is an artist and musician currently living in Fort Collins, Colorado. His art is usually rooted in something of an esoteric/occult/psychedelic nature, and he typically works with watercolors and ink. For some years he explored tarot imagery and came to create this remarkable set of designs.

The Original Wirth Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 25, UK, 2013.
The tarot deck created by Oswald Wirth in 1889 was the first esoteric tarot to be published. Wirth had taken the designs from the familiar Marseilles decks and redrawn these so they expressed his esoteric ideas. He especially made the number of objects in each image important - thus five gold and five silver coins fall from the pockets of Le Pendu - and there are many similar kabbalistic resonances to the symbolism. The 1889 deck was printed as line engravings then coloured by hand, as was usual with playing cards at that time when colour printing had not fully developed. The colouring of the cards was often messy, with the colour overflowing the lines and often not entirely filling the areas, because the colour was applied using stencils and relatively unskilled labour. Adam McLean has here cleaned up the images, sensitively correcting these flaws, to produce a deck that reflected Wirth's original conception.

W.T. Horton Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 26, UK, 2013.
William Thomas Horton (1864-1919) was an artist and mystic, friend of W. B. Yeats, part of the milleau of the Golden Dawn and the various esoteric groups existing in the first decades of the 20th Century. He created many line drawn illustrations for books. A few years ago Koretaka Eguchi was drawn to Horton's illustrations and began collecting books he had illustrated and trying to develop interest in this neglected artist. One day when pondering these, Koretaka Eguchi realised that, as many of these illustrations had imagery that paralleled conventional tarot, it would be relatively easy and not at all artificial to construct a W. T. Horton Tarot, indeed the images fitted the tarot archetypes without requiring reshaping or collaging.

Greater Mysteries Tarot
Artwork Tarot No. 27, UK, 2013.
These 78 tarot designs were created by British surrealist artist Robert Ellaby between 1982 and 1984. He undertook to make these images as part of a course of instruction in Western esotericism, and never intended these as a publicly available deck. Adam McLean persuaded him to have this small edition of his designs printed, as Ie was very impressed by the imagery and the underlying structure of the deck. The Majors draw on the established images seen through Ellaby's particular focus, but for the Minors he created his own sequence of images, which are repeated with variations through the four suits, which he tied closely to the four elements.

The Tarot of the Golden Serpent
Artwork Tarot No. 28, UK, 2013.
Between 2009 and 2013 Sebastian Haines created a series of oil paintings for his Tarot of the Golden Serpent. These are wonderfully detailed and luminously coloured images, with a deep esoteric content to the symbolism. For each of the cards Sebastian Haines has worked out a complex set of images which he constructs within a symmetric structure. These are not free flowing impulsive paintings but are meticulously worked out, and although dense with imagery there is nothing decorative, every symbol and its placement within the frame of the image contributes to the meaning of the card.
